Ms. Brewster has been at West Monroe High School for a total of twenty-four years. Nine of those years were spent as a teacher, four as a counselor, and eleven years as an assistant principal. As a former WMHS graduate herself, Ms. Brewster remembers English literature as being her favorite subject and chemistry as her least favorite. Ms. Brewster said her favorite thing about being an assistant principal is the opportunity to help young adults. The most challenging thing about her job is the many days it takes to resolve the scheduling conflicts on the master teaching schedule in the summer.
